Backend Engineer — APIs · Databases · Auth

I design and build the server-side systems most people never see: APIs, data models and authentication layers that stay stable when the load doesn't. Clean architecture, deliberate security, no surprises

About

Engineering with

clarity and intent.

I'm a backend engineer who cares about the craft as much as the outcome. My work lives in the layers most users never see — the APIs, the data models, the auth systems, the architecture decisions — and that's exactly where I think quality matters most. I build primarily with Python and FastAPI, backed by PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and I've spent real time on RESTful API design and on systems that stay secure and maintainable long after launch. Good backend code is invisible — it just works, scales, and doesn't page you at 3am. Off the clock, I'm reading about distributed systems, poking at security concepts, and trying to make engineering a more deliberate practice — one decision at a time.

Process

How I work

with clients.

No dark boxes, no surprises. A clear path from your first message to a delivered project — you always know what stage we are at, what I am doing, and what happens next.

Tell me about your project

Answer a few questions and your request lands straight on my dashboard. I read every single one.

The process

  1. 01Tell me about your project

You send your idea, goals and rough scope through the form below. It arrives directly on my dashboard.

  2. 02I review & reply

If it fits, I take the request. If not, it is rejected fast and honestly — no wasted time on either side.

  3. 03Half money, clear scope

A small deposit confirms the spot and reserves the time. Then I send you a document that breaks the project into four clear phases.

  4. 04Four phases

Architecture, Backend, Testing, Deployment. Each phase is delivered with its own update, so you always see progress instead of waiting for a surprise.

  5. 05Review

You go through the built project. Anything unclear is discussed — nothing moves to the final step without your approval.

  6. 06Payment & delivery

The remaining payment clears via PayPal, and you receive the final handover: source, docs and everything needed to own the project.

CONTACT

Let's build
something real.

I'm open to backend roles, freelance projects and technical collaborations. If you've got something interesting in mind, I'd like to hear about it — no recruiters or cold pitches, please.

Open to opportunities

Whether it's a backend role, a contract project or a collaboration — I'm interested in work with real engineering problems, not just filling tickets.
